# How To Store Your Seed Phrase

BOBAMASK is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that puts you in complete control of your funds. It allows you to fully own your private keys - something not possible with other wallets like Binance. As well as increasing security, this increases user confidence, giving them full ownership of their money. A lot of cryptocurrency enthusiasts appreciate this level of protection, however, there is also an added responsibility. Users should always keep their seed phrase securely backed up and stored somewhere else. You may lose access to the funds in your BOBAMASK™ and if this happens the backup will allow you to recover all of your funds!

## Storing Your Seed Phrase

The Seed phrase is an important piece of information when using cryptocurrencies. It enables you to recover your account if it ever gets compromised or lost. However, keeping your seed phrase safe is essential. If it falls into the wrong hands, there’s nothing stopping them from creating fake accounts and stealing money from your wallet. You should always make sure that you aren’t storing your seed phrase in any place online.

1. You need to copy the seed phrase word for word as the wallet displays it. A change in an alphabet here or an alphabet there can be enough to make you part ways with your cryptocurrencies.<br>
2. You should never store your seed phrase on any application or device that is connected to the internet. Storing them offline is the safest option.

**WARNING**: Never disclose your seed phrase. Anyone asking for your seed phrase is most likely trying to steal your funds.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://bobamask.gitbook.io/bobamask/how-to-use/how-to-store-your-seed-phrase.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
